About David Genecov

David GenecovA Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. David Genecov is the director of the International Craniofacial Institute and the Cleft Lip and Palate Treatment Center and the founder of Genecov Plastic Surgery Group in Dallas, Texas. He specializes in craniomaxillofacial, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery.

An active contributor to his field, Dr. David Genecov is licensed to practice in Texas and maintains affiliations with a variety of professional organizations, including the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the Dallas Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, for which he serves on the Corporate Sponsorship Committee and as an AMA Advisory Alternate Representative. Dr. Genecov has also sat on several committees for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, including the Professional Liability Insurance, Public Education, Scientific Instruction, and Developmental committees.

Dr. David Genecov prepared for his career at the University of Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts. After graduating, he gained acceptance to the University of Texas Health Science Center, where he received his Doctor of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery with the West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia, and became Chief Resident of General Surgery. Dr. Genecov then completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University and a craniomaxillofacial fellowship with the International Craniofacial Institute in Dallas.

When not fulfilling his professional responsibilities, Dr. David Genecov enjoys spending time with his family and time outdoors hunting, fishing, biking, and swimming.
